MODEL: M246
CARE: Handle the M246 with care, avoid contact with chemicals, water and direct sunlight. To keep lenses clean use the cleaning cloth provided. Also do not reflect sunlight as it is a FIRE HAZARD.
BATTERIES: Model M246 Slideout Pocket Loupe comes with its batteries preinstalled. If they do not shine when fully extended, follow the steps below:
1. Open the battery compartment cover by using a quarter to pry open the cover on the magnifier and remove the black plastic housing (see image below)
2. Remove the plastic tabed battery cover and the 3 LR44 batteries provided. Reinsert them in the battery compartment, as pictured below.
3. The negative end of two batteries down and positive end up on the other, as pictured below.Â
4. If you have questions about orientation, see battery placement diagram at the bottom of battery compartment.
5. Reinstall the tabed battery cover by matching the tabs to the mating holes.
6. Test magnifier LED lights by sliding out the magnifier to the fully extended position.Â
7. If the LED lights do not shine, recheck the orientation of batteries.Â
8. If the LED lights still don't shine try new batteries.
